Porky Pig is one of the oldest characters of the Looney Tunes. His original voice actor did, in fact, have a stutter, and was eventually fired due to his inability to control it. Mel Blanc continued to do the voice and stuttering became synonymous with Porky. Typically he struggles with a word only to give up on it and easily replace it a similar but bigger word (which you'd expect would be harder to say). Early Porky and Daffy films cast Porky as a duck hunter, in an attempt to replicate the Bugs and Elmer formula. But Porky really found his niche in later years as a straight man for Daffy. In addition to supporting him in the many film spoofs, he serves as a foil for Daffy's zaniness in a variety of buddy films, where the two of them find themselves in some situation and the diversity of their personalities affect the outcome.

Duck Soup to Nuts 2.3
1944 directed by Friz Freleng
Featuring Daffy Duck and Porky Pig
Porky is a hunter looking to shoot Daffy, but Daffy keeps outwitting Porky. This was one of the last of the early shorts to feature Porky hunting Daffy. As things developed (particularly Daffy's transition to something less crazy) the animators focused more on pairing them together as buddies of sorts, albeit one more annoying than the other. They did not follow the same formula with Bugs and Elmer who were never presented as anything but adversaries.

A Pest in the House 5.1
1947 directed by Chuck Jones
Featuring Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd
The film is notable for featuring an in-between interpretation of Daffy. He is not necessarily the zany, impish interpretation used famously by Tex Avery and Bob Clampett, nor is he the greedy, self-centered version that Chuck Jones later popularized in the 1950s. The cartoon starts with a brief narration describing a labor shortage that compels employers to hire anybody or anything. Daffy is a hotel bellboy and Elmer is the manager. A customer demands peace and quiet, and threatens violence against Elmer if disturbed. Daffy does things in the name of keeping things quiet but they actually keep the man awake. Every time the increasingly irritated man trudges to Elmer's station, he hits Elmer in the face.

His roommate, Daffy, is rude, loud, and drunk.
