The polar opposite of Yosemite Sam, Marvin is quiet and soft spoken, and yet his actions were infinitely more dangerous and destructive. Marvin probably gained more fame in the years after the studios closed than any other character. He only appeared in five of the original 1000 shorts, but what an impact he had, the least of which was attempting to blow up the earth, and being responsible for the destruction of planet X. In recent years, Marvin's likeness appeared in miniature on both the Spirit and Opportunity rovers on Mars.
